What Makes A Car Show-Worthy?
Speak with the high school about their band coming out and playing a song or two on the field-this will bring a whole lot more attendees just by virtue of the members and their families. Is the school putting on a play in the near future? Offer for them to perform a number and sell tickets at the car show. Maybe the local dance studio has kids dancing to Sinatra? Well, since there's nothing in the world cuter than kids dancing to Sinatra, offer them a spot on the stage. Local forums, posts, and Facebook pages will help you find young musicians, comedians, and performers that can fit your theme and your day. I'm not advocating for 'exposure' because, in all frankness, I think it's top-of-the-line bullshit, but look further than oldies cover bands and consider a lineup of events and activities throughout the day. You'll be seeing people staying longer and coming more often. We could talk for a lot longer about the importance of unique and interesting vendors, but the point is, you have options! While I understand that it may feel like the classic car event is being diluted by the arrival of baby goats or renditions of Annie, a little bit of new excitement and entertainment is necessary to survive in this day and age. We're not destroying the car show as we know it, we're embracing the evolution and change that will keep the industry and hobby we all love alive and thriving for generations to come. As car show season nears for most of the country, we'll be bringing you more ideas for attracting and retaining your enthusiasts. For now, thank you for reading So You Want to Have a Car Show, and good luck on your upcoming automotive event!

This should be done during the detailing, but double-check that the glass is spotless at the show. Dirty windows are a no-no in the car show world. Don't forget the inside, either. The windows' exterior gets a lot of attention and can often be cleaner than the inside. Regular glass cleaner is enough to give them a once over before showtime. Clean them once, let them dry, and hit them again. Make sure there are no streaks or leftover lint. The car will be center stage and will speak for itself. Most attendees at a car show will know what make, model, and year your car is by looking at it. They are at the show because they are car enthusiasts and they know such things. For everyone else, it's good to have a sign next to your car. Tell everyone what you want them to know about your car: make, model, year, owner, and maybe some awards. Still, keep it simple and clean. Don't overdo it and distract from the car.

If someone touches your car, given they are new to the car show scene, don't start fighting with them. No one wants two grown-adults rolling in the dirt next to their valuable cars. If you don't like something, kindly ask the person to not do it. In the end, everybody is there because they share the same passion, and no one is there to hurt you or your car. And if yes, can you attend this car show? I've never seen a Bugatti before and I feel like I'm missing out. WSB May 26, 2022 (11:31 am) There's no all-class reunion again this year, so the small display of cars that usually generates won't be happening. The big West Seattle car show was held in The Junction 2008-2014; it moved to South Seattle College in 2015. The last one was in 2018 - its sponsors put out the call (repeatedly) for someone to take over, but no one stepped up.
